TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight.

PROGRAMME: Aerodynamic studies began 1991; prototype flew in 1993, but development was suspended in favour of Sea Storm and Storm 300, both of which employed the Rally's wing profile. Work resumed in 2000; marketing launched in April 2002 to meet new, more liberal European sport pilot and US Experimental category legislation.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Rally 105 S: Experimental category or Ultralight version. As described.
Rally 105 UL: Ultralight version only. Empty weight 265 kg (584 lb); MTOW 435 kg (959 lb); reduced fuel and power.

COSTS: Kit €42,100 (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: High-mounted, strut-braced, constant-chord wings. Low tailplane and sweptback fin mounted on steeply waisted rear fuselage.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Horn-balanced elevators and rudder. Flight-adjustable tab in starboard elevator. Slotted flaps.

STRUCTURE: All-composites fuselage, with aluminium wing. Wing section NACA 63-215 mod.

LANDING GEAR: Fixed tricycle type.

POWER PLANT: One 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL-2 flat-four in Rally UL; 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 ULS-2 in Rally S. Other suitable engines up to 93.2 kW (125 hp). Standard fuel capacity 80 litres (21.1 US gallons; 17.6 Imp gallons); can be increased to 130 litres (34.3 US gallons; 28.6 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Gull-wing door on each side of cabin.
