Kaluga's Research Institute of Radio Engineering (KNIRTI) is a leading designer of airborne EW systems in Russia.
Since 1957 KNIRTI has been developing systems of electronic reconnaissance and countermeasures for various platforms, including airborne and space vehicles.
KNIRTI's EW equipment is installed in Sukhoi aircraft, well known all over the world.
KNIRTI has developed unique, world-unsurpassed stand-off jammer-helicopters with superpower transmitters based on phased antenna arrays, which provide highly effective protection against aircraft attack and enemy air defenses.
KNIRTI offers foreign customers active jamming pods for self-protection and escort protection of aircraft, jammer-helicopters, ELINT equipment, modernization of existing EW equipment, as well as development of EW equipment and its components in accordance with customer needs.
