TYPE: Agricultural sprayer.

PROGRAMME: Shown at Gelendzhik, 4 to 8 September 2002. First flight 9 November 2002; official evaluation flight of 11 December gave clearance for continued company testing.

CURRENT VERSIONS: MVEN-1: Initial version; LOM engine.
MVEN-2: Announced 2003; Lycoming engine. Increased length and weights.

DESIGN FEATURES: Classic low-wing sprayplane with chemical hopper ahead of raised cockpit giving good view over nose. Strut-braced wings and tailplane. Heavy-duty suspension and tyres.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. No aerodynamic balances. Ailerons and flaps occupy full extent of wing trailing-edge.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed. Long-stroke, rubber-in-compression mainwheel suspension. Hydraulic brakes on mainwheels.

POWER PLANT: MVEN-1: One 118 kW (158 hp) LOM M332B four-cylinder piston engine driving a three-blade propeller. Fuel in two tanks, combined capacity 70 litres (18.5 US gallons; 15.4 Imp gallons).
MVEN-2: One 134 kW (180 hp) Textron Lycoming O-360 flat-four. Fuel capacity 140 litres (37.0 US gallons; 30.8 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Two persons in tandem. Single, upward-hinged door, port side.

EQUIPMENT: Sprayer system with 13 atomisers on each of two underwing elements. MVEN ballistic parachute.
